عَاجِلٌ

And Present; ready; (Msb;) not delayed; (PS;) [applied to a price, hire, payment, or the like;] opposite of اجِلٌ; (S, O, K;) as applied to anything. (K.) عَاجِلٌ بِعَاجِلٍ [Ready merchandise with ready money] is like نَاجِزٌ بِنَاجِزٍ, and يَدٌ بِيَدٍ. (TA in article نجز.)

And hence, [or because fleeting, or quickly transitory,] العَاجِلَةُ signifies The present hour or time: (Msb:) and the present dwelling, abode, world, life, or state of existence: (TA:) opposite of الاجِلَةُ, (S, O, TA,) in relation to anything. (TA.)
