تروّح

[He fanned himself]. (A, TA.) And تروّح بِمِرْوَحَةٍ [He fanned himself with a fan]. (S, Msb, K.) رَأَيْتُهُمْ يَتَرَوَّحُونَ فِى الضُّحَى, occurring in a tradition, means I saw them requiring the being fanned with the fan (التَّرْوِيح بِالمِرْوَحَة) by reason of the heat [in the morning after sunrise]: or it may mean returning to their tents or houses: or seeking rest. (TA.)

تروّحت الرَّايءِحَةُ The odour exhaled, or diffused itself. (Msb.)

تروّح said of water, It acquired the odour of another thing by reason of its nearness thereto. (S, A, Msb, K.) See also 4.
